Cleaning out and catching up

Well I've failed put up some pictures of the family but I wanted to give a little run down of my past half a year of 2008 back in the states. I'm living at home at my high school job. That's about it, however I've been able to see more of my family, done some traveling and here's a little slide show of the fall and winter so far.

I'm currently still job searching for the next big thing and hoping to take the GRE within the next year to get into a grad school program to get my master's in hopefully School or developmental psychology.

Post Paradise

Well I had a great time in Hawaii. I learned a lot about the soybean area at Syngenta and had a great time meeting new people within the company. We worked some long hours but we did have time for a little fun. We got to spend only a few hours at the beach on a couple a nights. Our hotel was right on Waikiki so we had quick access to really good beaches and restaurants. The seafood was amazing and as you can imagine I ate my worth in fish, calamari, and shrimp! Also had quite a few foo-foo drinks to celebrate the tropical weather. We spent our first weekend working a little and going to Pearl Harbor, what a great piece of history! It was very humbling to see since most of the things I've seen of historical relavance have happened thousands of years ago in dynasty China, it was refreshing to see a piece of my countries history. I did get time for a little surfing, it was pretty exciting and I'm pretty sure if I had a few more tries I'd be pretty good. The waves were little but more intimidating than the coasts or in Iowa but you wouldn't want to get caught in them (since Hawaii has the highest record of drown victims than anywhere else in the world) But we did see a lot of the island and I even got to have lunch and spend some time with my cousin Jami whose been in the Army for 18 years.
